James Hancock-Evans
James lives with his family not ten miles away from Llansteffan in St Clears. He is an actor, having previously been a teacher. He grew up near Aberystwyth, and in school was highly involved with singing, choirs and performing. He began learning the piano at the age of seven, studying classical repertoire with his teacher, but from his teenage years he developed an interest and love for jazz which continues to this day. James studied English at Christ’s College, Cambridge where he spent his time acting, singing and playing far more than writing essays, and made good friends there with whom he still plays music. He recently completed a Masters at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. When not playing piano, he enjoys walking the family’s giant dog, gardening and composing.
